Ghana 2005 Finished everything I needed to do, thankfully. The power behaved itself for once. Now I just want to write a little more before I crash completely. ( Poor Heather... ) It's lights-off right now and I don't know whether to be annoyed or relieved. I'm annoyed because I have five days worth of accounts to catch up on and I need to use the computers but I'm also relieved as I've been pretty much going non-stop since 6:30 this morning and I'm probably due a break. But I'd rather catch up on this some more than just rest, at least while I have the chance. ( So, Heather arrived on Wednesday... ) I was chatting to Kersten and Seana the other day and randomly used the word 'flollopping' in the converstation. They loved the word and we agreed that we should all try and use it in our next journal entries. And so there it is - now time to move on. I'm still really sleepy but I guess going back to bed now would just be lazy. And today has been a good day so far - when I went to buy breakfast this morning a random guy said I was beautiful and didn't ask to marry me or anything, and a girl said she really liked my hair. And now Daddy is doing my ironing for me. Life is good! ;P And Nana is dancing, which is so very cute, you have no idea! In case you are interested the title of this entry is the first line of a song the kids at Future Island sing at teh end of each school day. The lyrics are as follows: Gyimah has just told me to write 'Gyimah'. So I have. I hope he's happy now. He has now told me to write 'Boakye'. So there we go. 'Daddy' is the next request. I have now told him that my journal is not supposed to be just a random list of names so he has finally left me in peace to actually get on with it. So very tired just now. But also, I actually have a little free time just now so figure I may as well take advantage of this fairly rare occurrence. Well, it's finally maybe getting to the stage wher I feel I'm really starting to lag in my journal writing. Time was I would write almost every day and now it's been five days since the last entry. Although, much of that is because we've had a fairly busy week and I'm just now managing to set aside time to write. Time has absolutely flown by - I can't believe in just five short weeks I'll be saying goodbye to Offinso! ( On Sunday... ) I wouldn't say that anything particularly exciting has happened this week but for some reason my emotions have been going all over the place. Daddy and I have just finished playing Loot! and he won, mainly due to a really bad mistake on my part. I told him I was going to bed early to write in my journal and he said that I should mention this (admittedly rare) event. So I have written about it, it’s done and now I will forget about it and just focus on the next time I kick his butt! ( Ten minutes later... ) |
